HAROLD IS RETIRING - THE END OF AN ERA!
It is with a mixture of joy and sadness that I am announcing that our property at 3500 Tyrone Boulevard
is being sold and the restaurant, which I opened here in 2000 as Sam Seltzer’s and since 2010 has been
Harold Seltzer’s, will be closing permanently after the end of business on Sunday September 29, 2024.
The property will be transformed into a Dignity Memorial®-branded celebration of life center, which will
continue to serve the community in a new and meaningful way.
I am joyful that I will no longer be working 60+ hours each week and will have the opportunity to spend
more time with my wife, children and grandchildren. I am sad because it has been a labor of love since
1995 when I opened our first Sam Seltzer’s in Tampa. I will truly miss our wonderful and dedicated
employees, several of whom have been with me for many years. I will also truly miss serving YOU, our
wonderful and loyal customers. Many of you have become like ‘family’ over the years, having celebrated
birthdays, date nights, engagements, weddings, funerals, holiday parties, Christmas Eve, New Year’s Eve,
Valentine’s Day, Easter, Mother’s Day Father’s Day, Thanksgiving, and enjoyed just ‘every day’ great
times and great meals with us for almost 30 years.
We hope you continue to support local family-owned restaurants and wish you all happiness and health.
It has been my honor and pleasure to serve you, and the entire Seltzer Family and our wonderful team is and remains deeply grateful for your patronage and support over the last 30 years!
